We are excited to be taking part for the fourth year in the Scotlands Doors Open Days.
This September over the weekend of the 19th and 20th over 50 venues open the doors of lighthouses, castles, museums, railways and many more historical sites & businesses across Aberdeenshire, to the public, for free. Theres lots to choose from, so there is something for all ages.

At our Cairngorm Bothies Doors Open day, We will be welcoming visitors to a walk & talk “Behind the scenes” tour of the Bothies. Learn about our sustainable tourism offering at Cairngorm Bothies. Our 12 Off-grid bothies are situated within our 100 year old Scots Pine Forest on the Blelack Estate.
Our Doors Open Day starts from 12.30 – 4.00pm
We will be showcasing our bothies and how we use the solar farm to power the electricity that pumps the natural spring, and powers each of the 12 Bothies.
Please come prepared for all weather and bring a picnic for your self or the wildlife if you choose.
Visitors can arrive from 12 and enjoy our forest setting from our available picnic & rest spots at our Bothies. More details can be found Here
