The Speyside area is world famous for whisky and the Cairngorms’ six distilleries all offer something different, from iconic design, to Royal connections to personalised, hands-on tours.
Our clean, clear springs and moorland peat help to produce the perfect dram. Come and sample our local ‘water of life’ at Royal Deeside’s Royal Lochnagar Distillery next to Balmoral Castle, Fettercairn distillery at the foot of the Cairngorm mountains or not far away there’s Dalwhinne, Glenlivet and Tomintoul.
But it’s not just whisky for which the Highlands is well known – increasingly the area is gaining a global reputation for its gin production too!
